VPN - When to Use

Use the VPN:
- To access internal-only resources off campus, like Jenzabar.
Do not use the VPN:
- Privacy. Our campus VPN does not provide for additional privacy, all network traffic is logged and tracked at the user/device level.
- On campus. Using the VPN when connected to the internal campus network will cause you issues when accessing some internal services.
- Faster internet speeds. The VPN is not designed to provide you with faster internet speeds, in fact, your speeds could likely be even slower while connected to the VPN.
- To bypass geo-blocking or other restrictions. If you need access to Microsoft services when outside the country, submit a ticket to the helpdesk to get a temporary exemption from geo-blocking policies.
