For devices that have a touch screen, you may want to use a touch keyboard when a physical keyboard is not attached. Follow the below steps to enable the touch keyboard.
- Go to the start menu and open the "Settings" app.
- From the menu on the left, select the "Accessibility" category.
- Scroll through the settings and select "Keyboard" from the options.
- Scroll through the settings and select "Typing" under the "Related settings" category.
- Click the dropdown for "Touch keyboard" options.
- Enable the setting for "Show the touch keyboard" or "Show the touch keyboard when no keyboard is attached." This may be a toggle switch or a dropdown menu depending on the OS version.
Now, when you touch an input box on the computer, it should pop open a keyboard at the bottom of the screen for you to type on.
