For devices that have a touch screen, you may want to use a touch keyboard when a physical keyboard is not attached. Follow the below steps to enable the touch keyboard.
  1. Go to the start menu and open the "Settings" app.
  2. From the menu on the left, select the "Accessibility" category.
  3. Scroll through the settings and select "Keyboard" from the options.
  4. Scroll through the settings and select "Typing" under the "Related settings" category.
  5. Click the dropdown for "Touch keyboard" options.
  6. Enable the setting for "Show the touch keyboard" or "Show the touch keyboard when no keyboard is attached." This may be a toggle switch or a dropdown menu depending on the OS version.
Now, when you touch an input box on the computer, it should pop open a keyboard at the bottom of the screen for you to type on.
